“Post Tenebras Lux”  (“After Darkness, Light”)

After centuries of Europeans living in the shadows of life (the Dark Ages) without the light of the Gospel, God brought about a reformation that brought His holy scriptures from behind the walls of the elite and into the homes, streets, and fields where common people lived and worked.  With the historic translating of the Word from the Latin Vulgate into the vox populi (voice of the people – German, French, English, etc…), the people were enlightened by the new ability to interact directly with the truth in God’s holy scriptures.  Thus, the motto of the Protestant Reformation: Post Tenebras Lux (After Darkness, Light).
